Browser Problems

If you are having any problems at all with my site, please check the following:

1/ If you are using Norton Internet Security (or other forms of Internet Security like ZoneAlarm), check your security settings to make sure you don't have it set too high, or disable it temporarily. Click Here to view the Settings to Adjust (re-enable each product you disable till the problem comes back). (Note: NEVER disable your Virus Protection)

2/ Make sure that you have the latest version of Java Installed. You can Download J2SE v 1.4.2_06   from here http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

3/ If you are still having problems after downloading the Java then please make sure that your Browser settings are set as shown below.... Sandi

Internet Explorer Version 6.0 (The ONLY Browser Sandi recommends you use)

Click HERE To get the latest version of Internet Explorer

(these settings should be the same in older versions)

On the top of the page should be the "Tools" button, click on it. Then click the following buttons

Tools -> Internet Options -> General tab -> Temporary Internet Files Section -> Settings -> "Check for newer versions" option should be set to "Every Visit to the page" .... On the same page set the "amount of disk spaced to use" option to 10 Meg to free up disk space. -> click OK

Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections Tab -> LAN Settings -> Un check whichever box is checked (leave all boxes unchecked). Keep clicking OK to get back to main Internet Explorer screen. Close Internet Explorer, reboot your computer....

Netscape version 7.0, NOTE. Netscape has discontinued support for their Browser and I now only write the site to Internet Explorer specifications. If you have not switched to IE, you should.

Click HERE To get the latest version of Netscape

(these settings should be the same in older versions)

On the top of the page should be the "Edit" button, click on it. Then click the following buttons

Then Click on "Clear Memory Cache" and "Clear Disk Cache" click OK

Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Proxies -> should be " Direct Connection to the Internet" -> click OK to get back to main Netscape screen. Close Netscape, reboot your computer....

Next, and most important, you should do this on a regular a basis.

Update your operating system

Whenever a vulnerability is discovered in software, hackers and virus writers pay attention. You should, too, because vulnerabilities are often new holes for worms through which hackers can access your computer.

How to update your Windows software

Close all programs except your browser.

  1. Make sure you're online.
  2. Go to Windows Update.
  3. Click "Product updates."
  4. Accept the system evaluation by clicking Yes.
  5. You'll see both critical and optional updates. Click the Critical Update box.
  6. Click the gray Download box in the upper right corner.
  7. Click "Start download."
  8. Accept any other options.
  9. Once all components are downloaded, restart your computer.
  10. Update your browser monthly or whenever a big virus hits.

These instructions may vary depending on your operating system. But the process is similar in all versions of Windows.

If you still experience problems after completing the above, please send me an Email with as many details as possible and I will do my best to help you out. ....Enjoy......Lust and Kisses, ....Sandi and Ted too
