GoWild 12 was The place to be last Saturday night!
It was really great to see so many of our regular GoWild followers who made the trek out to London for GoWild 12. Thanks for joining us, it was great to see all of you. Thank you to everyone who made GoWild 12 such a great time, Ted and I had a blast visiting with old friends and meeting lots of new ones. Great to see you all.
Here is your update on GoWild 12, actually this will also be a little review on Samantha's Place since this is the first time Ted and I have visited their current location and we thought we would pass on some of our thoughts.
First off, I need to tell you that Saturday was a beautiful day, at least it was in Oakville, so we only took our light jackets. You know what's coming next, don't you... Half way to London it started to snow (now I am just talking snow flurries, but it was snow none the less). We made it there, but then we froze our butts off, at least it stopped snowing in time for the party... Yeah!
Guests started to arrive before 8 (even though we weren't supposed to open the doors until 8:30). By 10:00 the place was packed, it was standing room only, we actually ran out of beads by 11:00... more beads next year ;-). I can't believe how many friendly and attractive people there are in London (including the imports like us).
Chris, the DJ, did an incredible job keeping the place dancing. I can see why he has been their DJ for 10 years now and has only missed four dances, he is a keeper. The drink prices were quite reasonable, but even with that there were no obnoxious drunks.
I must say the Hedo II prize caused quite a stir, it seems the crowd sure loved the fact that the couple who won have been to Hedonism 12 times now. Hope they enjoy their lucky 13th trip, anyone want to help them with that?
